We are a play-based, faith-based, student-led preschool that values each child as a unique miracle of God. Each child has God-given talents that contribute into each classroom. Preschool is a child's first educational experience- it is where they shape their desire to learn, have freedom to play, and interact with classmates.

Upward Bound utilizes the indoor and outdoor spaces to encourage play, discovery, and learning through God's creation. We empower teachers and work with them to help all students grow in socio-emotional ways, learning to communicate and problem solve. We use Christ-centered lessons to help foster the development of a relationship with God, always reminding them of the forgiveness Christ as given us and instilling hope of eternity with Him.

Upward Bound is a ministry of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Our Missouri Synod congregations operate the largest Protestant school system in the United States. We have 1,000 preschools and day-care centers, 998 elementary schools and 64 high schools.

Our 8 colleges prepare professional church workers and offer Christian training for Christian laity. Two seminaries provide education beyond the bachelor level to prepare pastors for our congregations.

Because God’s Word is so important, we emphasize Christian nurture. Our congregations offer Sunday school for children, youth and adults. We hold other Bible study classes and small- group ministries to help people of all ages learn and apply the Word in their daily lives.
